Who is eligible for DAN World’s short-term dive-accident coverage? 
All certified divers, divers in training, freedivers and freedivers in training between the ages of 8 and 70.

Are there any restrictions based on depth, equipment or gas mix? 
No. 

How long does it take to process an application? 
Once the online form is completed and submitted and payment is accepted by DAN World, coverage is confirmed and effective beginning on the start date. Confirmation of coverage will be emailed to you.

Applications can be submitted electronically 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Is this coverage valid if the diver is traveling to multiple countries? 
Yes.

Does DAN World short-term coverage replace travel insurance? 
No, short-term dive-accident coverage offers different benefits than travel insurance.

Can anyone sell DAN World short-term dive-accident coverage? 
For the Asia-Pacific region, only registered dive operators in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, India, and the Philippines are eligible to become DAN World short-term coverage partners.

For the Latin America/Caribbean region, only registered dive operators in Bahamas, US Virgin Islands, British Islands, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica are eligible to become DAN World short-term coverage partners.

How do I register as a DAN World short-term coverage partner?

What is the cost to register? 
There is no cost to register as a DAN short-term partner.

How do I enroll my divers? 
Log in to your account and click “Add Divers”. 

Can I enter multiple divers at once? 
You can enter multiple divers at a time provided the coverage start date is the same for all divers. 

Can I register divers with a start date occurring in the future? 
Yes, you can register divers and select a start date up to 180 days in the future.

What will my business and my divers receive to indicate a diver is covered? 
A confirmation of coverage email is automatically sent to your registered business email. In addition, a confirmation email and insurance certificate will be emailed to the diver.

Will my customers receive a policy number? 
No, their name and date of birth are the only information required to confirm short-term coverage.

How do I update my credit card information? 
Credit card information can be updated when registering a customer for short-term coverage. When you get to the payment section, you will have the opportunity to enter and save the new card for future use.

How do I update my business contact details? 
You can update your contact details by logging into your account and selecting “Update Details.”

I forgot my login and/or password, how do I regain access? 
For businesses in the Asia-Pacific region area, please send an email to ShortTermAP@World.DAN.org for account recovery assistance. For businesses in the Latin America/Caribbean area, please send an email to ShortTermLAC@World.DAN.org for account recovery assistance.

Can a policy be cancelled? 
If an error is made and coverage is not yet in effect, you may request cancellation by contacting us via email at ShortTermAP@World.DAN.org if your business is in the Asia Pacific area, or at ShortTermLAC@World.DAN.org if your business is in the Latin America/Caribbean area.

What do I do in the event of a dive accident or illness involving a customer? 
Activate your emergency action plan first and then call the DAN Emergency Hotline: +1 919 684 9111 (English) or +52 557 100 0540 (Spanish).
